Welcome to Round 11 of Season 15 in SLR, where we're hoping the chaos would be on the lesser side between now and the end of the season. You never know, though, and there was still plenty to get through. Here's how it went down at the Red Bull Ring for the Austrian Grand Prix!

Lap 35 incident involving SimbarocksONE & SemmF1

Verdict: 3s + 1LP to SemmF1

Detail: The stewards agreed that from the evidence provided, it was clear that Semm did cause this collision, regardless of whether Simba ghosted just before the collision. They agreed that there was not enough grounds to rule this as a connection issue and as Semm hit him off track and gained the position, an appropriate penalty has been applied.

Qualifying incident involving LSW L3G3ND44 & OwenHowell36

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards did not feel that Owen impacted Legend through the final sector.


Lap 1 incident involving LSW L3G3ND44 & ZachIsBeast25

Verdict: 3s + 1LP to ZachIsBeast25

Detail: The stewards agreed that Zach outbroke himself into Turn 4, and as a result causes a collision Legend, which loses him the position.


Lap 8 incident involving Arb0n EPA

Verdict: 1LP to Arb0n EPA

Detail: The stewards agree that although Arbon did cross the pit entry line, this was as minor a cross as possible, and so have decided to only apply 1 license point here as he was entering the corner with too much speed which led him to just exceed the line with one tyre.


Lap 11, Lap 12, Lap 13 incidents involving I CJT22 I & Pavlison

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: There are 3 incidents here, and here are the statements issued by the stewards:

  • Lap 11 - Whilst the stewards acknowledge that Pavlison moves over, we feel that this has left CJ largely unaffected, and so it would be very harsh to apply any sort of penalty to Pavlison for this.

  • Lap 12 - The stewards feel that CJ could, and should have broken significantly later here, and that he puts himself in the position of being squeezed at the apex due to this. The stewards feel this is mainly caused by CJ being overly cautious into the corner.

  • Lap 13 - The stewards feel it is unclear from the evidence provided who hit CJ here, and as it is a minor tap that does not cause CJ any position loss or significant time loss, no penalty will be applied here.


Lap 13 incident involving LSW L3G3ND44 & SSR Halo

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards feel that the contact is caused by Legend turning in for the optimum racing line and not taking into consideration Halo on the inside. They felt that the overtake attempt from Halo is controlled, and he is alongside early enough to warrant space.


Lap 26 incident involving Evoke Replay & J Lee Menz

Verdict: 3s + 1LP to J Lee Menz

Detail: Menz goes deep, making contact with Evoke significantly far away from the apex, taking the corner at a much higher speed than should be done. Whilst Evoke does turn into the corner, he has to turn in eventually and leaves a significant enough gap to avoid a collision, whilst Menz' car is nearly entirely straight when the contact is made and is past the apex. Even with this contact slowing Menz down slightly, he barely makes the corner. Hence, the stewards feel Menz is to blame here, and a small penalty has been awarded to Menz for causing a collision and forcing Evoke off track whilst making an overtake.

Qualifying incident involving SouthRaptor966 & EIIis 37

Verdict: 2LP to EIIis 37

Detail: Ellis does enough to distract SouthRaptor on his qualifying lap but this is not a significant enough block to warrant the full blocking penalty.


Lap 33 incidents involving SouthRaptor966 & Morris9701

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: Below are the statements from the stewards for these incidents:

  • Video 1 - Morris makes vert minor contact with Raptor mid-overtake. No harm was done and the overtake was clearly going to happen anyway, so no need to apply a penalty for this incident.

  • Video 2 - The contact here is so minor that it does not affect Raptor at all. Whilst Morris goes for an aggressive late braking move, the lack of contact means there's no need to issue a penalty here, especially as Morris goes so deep that it's an easy overtake on Raptor on the exit.

  • Video 3 - There is a small bit of wheel-banging which causes Raptor to run wide - Neither driver is predominantly at fault for this contact, so no penalty will be applied here.

We had just one new debutant this weekend in Ezgame06, who took a solid P2 on his debut in Division 2 on Friday night.
