The Beginning of the End - F1 Japan

Welcome to another SLR F1 race report, this time for Round 11 of Season 14. And with this being the first of the final 4 races of the season, we're getting to the boiling point of the season. The first championships of the season were up for grabs and both were in Division 3 - both the driver's and constructor's could have been won as we returned to the iconic Suzuka Circuit in the Japanese coastal city. RIPbrannin could have won the Driver's title however he didn't race, which meant that it was a chance for those to catch up. Meanwhile, Brannin still could become a champion this week if Sauber were to win the Div 3 Constructor's title. Lets see how it went down!

Ticket # 37 - Lap 23 incident involving raceroller22 & EVR remote
Detail: 3 seconds + 1LP to EVR remote
Verdict: remote clear as day abuses the ghosting to take the position on roller here, taking advantage of the ghosting system to take his normal line. All that needed to be done here to avoid the penalty was to change his line slightly and let roller un-ghost, but rather than going side by side with him, he takes advantage of roller ghosting and makes an unsportsmanlike overtake. We encourage racing as if ghosting was disabled, and that was not adhered to here.
Ticket # 38 - Lap 25 incident involving SLR Jam40 & raceroller22
Detail: 3 seconds + 1LP to raceroller22
Verdict: The stewards agreed that Jam was entitled the space from roller, and although it seems that roller did attempt to give some space, he did not give enough as he didn't want to compromise his line. This then caused the contact, losing Jam multiple positions.

Ticket # 34 - Lap 7 incident involving LSJ Rundle & Arb0n EPA
Verdict: 3 seconds + 1LP to Arb0n EPA
Detail: Arbon makes a mistake and has to cut the final chicane. Upon rejoining the track, he is not in full control of his car and impedes rundle, causing the McLaren driver to have to take avoiding action. The stewards feel Arbon could have done slightly more to avoid this so a minor penalty is given for an unsafe rejoin.
Ticket # 35 - Lap 1 incident involving GoldenEggFryer & SSR Halo
Verdict: No Further Action
Detail: The stewards feel that the gap that Fryer is trying to go into is never a car's width, and that Halo is entitled to move across to take the normal racing line with the onus on Fryer to back out, instead of putting his car in a vulnerable position.

Detail: crazyhurdler retired on track, which is against the rules. The standard penalty has been applied.
