SLR Reaches 1000 in Canada! F1 Round 10

G'day to you all and welcome to another race report, this one's a very sentimental one as SLR reached a huge milestone this weekend. It's absolutely insane that SLR has managed to reach 1000 league races, and I for one couldn't be more proud of everyone for making this happen. I'll send a more soppy post in the server later on, but for now we need to focus on what happened as we returned to the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve for the Canadian Grand Prix!

Qualifying incident involving LRS-Karl & AmiOnCurry

Verdict: 1LP to AmiOnCurry

Detail: The stewards felt that a full qualifying block penalty would be unfair here, as Ami is far enough ahead to directly block Karl. However, they do believe that he was close enough to both provide a significant distraction and give out enough dirty air to impact the car behind.


Lap 1 incident involving LRS-Karl & EVVOR94

Verdict: 5s + 1LP to EVVOR94

Detail: The stewards agreed that Evvo should be penalised for this - he decides to take advantage of the ghosted car and drive straight through it.


Lap 5 incident involving xJustHazee & matty1929

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards were unanimous in their opinion that Matty did absolutely nothing wrong here. The wheel lock was actually caused if anything by Haze turning into Matty, however the stewards felt that the best outcome for this incident was to deem it a racing incident which was unfortunately made worse by the game mechanics, giving both drivers damage.


Lap 13 incident involving xJustHazee & LRS-#78Nello

Verdict: 5s + 2LP to LRS-#78Nello

Detail: Nello misjudges the difference of lines of the two cars, causing him to catch the rear of Haze's car and spinning her.


Lap 28 incident involving LRS-Karl & LSW L3G3ND44

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards agreed that they didn't believe Legend did anything wrong here. He made the overtake cleanly with no contact made, and it felt like Karl's spin was on his own accord.


Lap 31 incident involving Invade & Hicks_46

Detail: No Further Action

Verdict: The stewards felt that it would be harsh to penalise Hicks here as there is not a lot he can do here. Invade is attempting an overtake at a corner which is tough to go through side by side, and the overall feeling was that Hicks did nothing wrong here. If he doesn't turn when he does, he will only be having to go off track and get a track limit warning which would be harsh for the defending driver who still has the position.

And that is that as we racked up 1000 races in SLR history. It was great to see a full grid for Saturday's race as this was the official 1000th F1 race, so well done to Division 3 for getting this done. Next up, we head to Suzuka for the Japanese Grand Prix.
