More Monza Mayhem - F1 Round 4


Welcome back to Round 4 of the F1 season where this week our travels have taken us to one of the most historic circuits on the calendar. We were in Northern Italy this week and specifically at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza for the Italian Grand Prix. There has been plenty of mayhem over the last few seasons at this circuit, and considering the season we have had so far, we were expecting even more in Season 16! Here's how it went down:

Lap 1, Turn 1/2 incident involving multiple drivers

Verdict: 10s + 2LP to both SSR Halo & LSW L3G3ND44 (Qualifying Ban for Legend due to DNF)

Detail: The stewards decided that Halo and Legend missing their braking and going straight into everyone ahead at the start was the cause of the multiple incidents that happened at the first chicane. They have decided to give them both a ten second penalty and 2 Licence Points, which for Legend will convert to the above due to him not finishing the race.


Lap 1, Turn 2/3 incident involving LRS-Karl, HazeeLN4 & RustedBolt3021

Verdict: 5s + 2LP to RustedBolt3021

Detail: The stewards agreed that Bolt was the cause of this incident, as when the VSC comes out he lifts and then accelerates, overtaking multiple drivers and getting the illegal overtakes, causing the pack to bunch up and lose nearly 15 seconds to the cars ahead.


Lap 17 incident involving I CJT22 I & Pavlison

Verdict: 5s + 1LP to Pavlison (2LP due to DNF)

Detail: The stewards agreed that Pavlison should not have gone for this move as it was never on, and there was another driver alongside him. Pavlison tries to brake late but this was too late, causing a collision with CJT forcing him off the track.


Lap 23 incident involving Goggy & Arb0n EPA

Verdict: Race Ban + 4LP to Arb0n EPA

Detail: This was a collision that was clearly caused intentionally, in retaliation to the collision the two drivers have just had. Causing a collision on purpose which results in terminal damage to another driver will always result in a Race Ban.


Lap 26 incident involving RustedBolt3021, I CJT22 I & Kislesko

Verdict: 10s + 2LP to Kislesko

Detail: The stewards were in agreement that this comes down as an unsafe rejoin from Kislesko, coming back on the track without checking for cars he is racing with, and ultimately causing the collision with Bolt and CJ.

That concludes our weekend, with plenty of exciting action taking place once again at Monza. Congratulations to all of our winners and podium sitters in another hectic weekend!

... ZachIsBeast25 could become the 4th SLR driver to reach 1500 F1 points, if they score 6.


... HazeeLN4 (9th) could reach 1200 SLRF1 points if they score 23 points.


... GoldenEggFryer (18th) could reach 900 points if they score 4 points.


... Ba1myTick (86th) could reach 400 points if they score 10 points.


... BlackSpartan133 (114th) could reach 300 points if they score 8 points.


And as per tradition this season, here are some race milestones that were hit this weekend in Monza!


... SSR Halo took part in his 150th race, making him only the 16th driver to do so.


... EIIis 37 took part in his 50th F1 race in SLR this weekend.


... Hicks_46 raced in SLR for the first time in Monza, making him the 690th different driver to race in SLR. He also becomes one of 3 people to have a 100% race win record after winning on debut!
