First Coronation in Interlagos - F1 Round 15

Welcome to Round 15 of Season 15 in SLR, and this week we were at the majestic Autódromo José Carlos Pace in São Paulo for the Brazilian Grand Prix. And if racing in Brazil wasn't exciting enough as it is, we also had 2 championships that could have been won, where GoldenEggFryer was on the verge of winning the Division 2 Driver's Championship, whilst Racing Bulls were close to winning Division 3 Constructor's Championship. Here's what happened in Interlagos!


McKeon Division

Lap 6 incident involving Franktank214955 & SimbarocksONE

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards agreed that this incident was not fault of Simba as the overtaking car - the overtake was clean and he had the line, however the small contact made between Frank's front right and Simba's rear left causes the game physics to make them lock together and both become passengers.


Lap 24 incident involving Baha2r & DustyBassoon244

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: Similar to the above, the stewards believe that the overtake was fine, and that Baha initiated the contact by turning in slightly too early whilst Dusty is alongside. The stewards would also like to remind the rules state that clips should be submitted in their best quality possible, and that video recordings from a mobile phone will not be permitted and the submitter will be asked to resend.


Lap 31 incident involving Franktank214955 & Baha2r

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards agreed that although a POV of the defendant would have made things easier, that this was to be deemed a racing incident. Similar to both previous incidents, the front wheel to rear wheel collision has caused both cars to lock wheels and caused Frank to go off, and that if there wasn't contact both drivers would have made the corner fine.


Lap 36 incident involving SLR Jam40, TTM Crowding & raceroller22

Verdict: 1LP to TTM Crowding

Detail: The stewards agreed that the initial incident between Jam and Crowding was to be deemed a racing incident, and that there was no party at fault for the collisions leading to both cars going off track. They also agreed from the evidence provided that Jam did all he could to prevent an unsafe re-join, and such have decided not to penalise for this. However Crowding re-joins straight to the racing line at the following after cutting the corner completely, ghosting through Jam to then go for another move into the next corner without any hesitation of a safe re-join, and so the stewards agreed that Crowding should receive a Licence Point on top of the 3 second penalty given by the game already.

Lap 1 incident involving Ezgame06, WAOF1Haze & Kislesko

Verdict: 5s + 1LP to WAOF1Haze (2LP due to DNF)

Detail: Haze attempts to make a move on Kislesko and gets her braking wrong, making contact with Ezgame and spinning him.


Lap 4 incident involving LRS-#78Nello & WAOF1Haze

Verdict: No Further Action

Detail: The stewards feel that Nello's attempted overtake was never on, and that Haze was entitled to turn into the corner as Nello was not far enough alongside to warrant more space.


Lap 11 incident involving OwenHowell36 & LSW L3G3ND44

Verdict: 15s + 3LP to LSW L3G3ND44, 3 seconds removed from OwenHowell36

Detail: Legend misjudges Owen's position on the straight, turning left in an attempt to overtake the car ahead and hits Owen, causing him to make unavoidable contact with another car, sustaining damage and spinning in the process, all whilst losing multiple positions. Owen also received 2 warnings for this incident for corner cutting, which have now been removed as neither were Owen's fault and he provided the correct evidence.


Lap 30 incident involving I CJT22 I & Goggy

Verdict: 3s + 1LP to Goggy

Detail: The stewards feel that Goggy is the cause of this, jinking slightly to the right at the wrong time as CJT has massive overspeed, causing a collision between the drivers and nearly a much more dangerous accident.



Division 3

And that concludes another chaotic but ever exciting round at Interlagos, and we look forward to returning in future seasons. Congratulations to our podium sitters and especially to Division 2 race winner GoldenEggFryer, as he confirmed the Division 2 Driver's Championship in the process. Meanwhile we say welcome to Tolu_c & Baha2r, who both made their debuts in Brazil this week, taking the all-time driver total to 669. Hopefully many more to come!


Next up we head back to the Circuit Spa-Francorchamps where we saw some pre-season testing take place for the Belgian Grand Prix, where more championships can be won.
