Chaos continues in Monza - F1 Round 8

Welcome to Round 8 of Season 15, where the FIA and SLR schedules are intertwined for the first time this season. It was the return to the Autodromo Nazionale Monza after a Season's absence in F1, as we took on the Italian Grand Prix. Max Verstappen took a commanding victory in the F1 Grand Prix on Sunday, but were any of our SLR driver's able to replicate his dominance this weekend at the iconic circuit? Let's find out!

Ticket # 121 - Lap 25 incident involving LSJ Rundle, SLR EVVO, SLR Ham19 & SLR Jam40

Verdict: 5s + 2LP to SLR EVVO

Detail: The stewards agreed that the main cause of this incident is the unsafe rejoin from Evvo, jumping over the kerb and into Jam. This then causes the chaos that follows, and so the stewards have decided to penalise Evvo.


Ticket # 123 - Lap 2 incident involving TTM Crowding & BalmyTick395524

Verdict: 10s + 3LP to TTM Crowding

Detail: Crowding has completely mistimed his braking point into turn 1, and in his attempts to miss the cars in front he cuts the corner and has caused a collision with Balmy, resulting in multiple positions lost, damage and a time penalty.


Ticket # 124 - Lap 1 incident involving DustyBassoon244 - Penalty removal request

Verdict: 2 warnings removed, 3 seconds removed from DustyBassoon244

Detail: Sufficient evidence was provided to remove the 2 warnings from Dusty's race director. This was Dusty's only warning in the race, and so the penalty he recieved has been removed.


Ticket # 125 - Lap 14 incident involving LTKtarrierYT & Drastikblaze

Verdict: 2LP to Drastikblaze

Detail: Upon a thorough review from the stewards, it was determined that Blaze will receive 2 Licence Points for this incident for a dangerous manoeuvre under braking, causing Tarrier to have to adapt his line and such cause a big incident at the first corner on the safety car restart. Due to the damage given to Blaze as well as the penalty and time loss, only the LP have been given for this.

Ticket # 114 - Lap 13 incident involving Joseeeph F1 - penalty removal request

Verdict: 2 warnings removed, so 3 seconds removed from Joseeeph F1

Detail: The stewards were happy to remove the 2 extra warnings for the triple warning given to Joseph. This means Joseph is left with 5 warnings, as shown in his race director, and so 3 seconds will be removed.


Ticket # 115 - Lap 1 incident involving Joseeeph F1 & hecky963

Verdict: 10s + 2LP to hecky963

Detail: Hecky goes for an overtake into the pitlane when there is never a car's width gap, and such causes Invade to speed into the pitlane and get a penalty.


Ticket # 116 - Lap 1 incident involving Salt N Kepa1520 & Joseeeph F1

Verdict: 5s + 1LP to Joseeeph F1

Detail: Joseph misjudged his braking into Turn 1 and causes a collision with Kepa and other cars.

Ticket # 117 - Lap 17 incident involving SLR Hicklin & Got a Lisp

Verdict: 10s + 3LP to Got a Lisp

Detail: Into the entry of Ascari Hicklin more than alongside Got a Lisp down his inside, however the latter turns in on Hicklin, spinning him and causing a crash with other cars, causing terminal damage to Hicklin.


Ticket # 118 - Lap 15 incident involving milanist_EME, Nealix & GazzaBridger

Verdict: 5s + 1LP to GazzaBridger

Detail: Into the second chicane Gazza goes for a lunge up the inside of Nealix, cutting the corner. Nealix has to react to Gazza's actions and this causes a further collision between Nealix & Milanist.


Ticket # 120 - Lap 27 incident involving SouthRaptor966 & Rico_AV

Verdict: 5s + 1LP to Rico_AV

Detail: Rico brakes too late into Turn 1 and taps the car ahead, losing control of his car slightly. Because of this the stewards feel the position to SouthRaptor should have been yielded due to the lack of car control that Rico had, and because he still went for the move, the incident was caused.

There were no debutants this week, but McKeon Division race winner TTM Jacob did make his maiden appearance for this season, so welcome back and well done.
