Appeals Report: Season 16, Round 6

One appeal again this week, this time coming from the McKeon Division. The verdict is below.

(M) Lap 4 incidents involving MattCoper97 & LSJ Rundle

Stewards' Verdict: 3s + 1LP to both drivers

Appeals' Verdict: Penalty to MattCoper stands, penalty to LSJ Rundle moved to 5s + 1LP

Detail: The appeals panel were in agreement that Rundle should have received a slightly larger penalty than Matt in this incident as they do feel like this was a heat of the moment lunge, almost as retaliation for the collision at the corner before. They did agree with the penalty given to Matt as they do feel that Matt was at fault for the collision at Turn 3, but they felt that the collision at the next corner was worse and such have decided to uplift the penalty to 5s + 1LP.
